Our Services
-
Individual Therapy
One-on-one therapy sessions within the school environment tailored to meet the specific emotional, behavioural, and social needs of students. Whether a student is struggling with anxiety, depression, behavioural issues, or trauma, our individual therapy sessions provide a safe space for them to explore and address these challenges.
-
Group Therapy
Group therapy sessions that help students develop social skills, build resilience, and connect with peers who are facing similar challenges. These sessions are particularly beneficial for addressing issues like social anxiety, peer pressure, and bullying.
-
Professional Development and Parent Empowerment
Workshops and training sessions designed not only for educators but also for parents. We equip school staff with the tools to recognise and address mental health issues in students, while also empowering parents with knowledge and strategies to support their children at home.
What We Treat
Our team is experienced in treating a wide range of conditions, including but not limited to:
Anxiety Disorders: Helping students manage excessive worry, fear, and nervousness that disrupt their school life and social interactions. We provide strategies to reduce anxiety and build resilience.
Depression: Supporting students experiencing feelings of sadness, hopelessness, or withdrawal, and helping them regain a positive outlook and engagement with their studies and peers.
Behavioural Issues: Addressing disruptive behaviours such as oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) and helping students develop self-control and positive behaviour patterns.
Trauma and PTSD: Supporting students who have experienced trauma by helping them process their experiences and begin the healing process, reducing the impact on their academic and social life.
Learning Difficulties: Providing targeted support for students with learning disabilities, helping them overcome challenges in areas like reading, writing, and math, and improving their academic performance.
Social Challenges (e.g., Bullying, Peer Pressure): Offering strategies to cope with bullying, peer pressure, and social stressors, and helping students develop strong social skills and self-confidence.
Self-Harm and Risk Behaviours: Intervening with students who engage in self-harm or other risky behaviours, providing therapy to address underlying issues and promote healthier coping mechanisms.
Adjustment Disorders: Helping students navigate significant changes in their life, such as transitions, loss, or changes in family dynamics, and providing support to adjust and thrive.
Family Conflict and Attachment Issues: Providing therapy to address family dynamics, improve communication, and support students in forming secure, healthy attachments with caregivers.
Accessible Care Options
-
Private Sessions
We offer personalised therapy sessions designed to help students navigate academic pressures, social challenges, and any other issues affecting their mental well-being. These sessions provide a safe and supportive environment where students can explore and address their concerns.
-
NDIS Funding
For students with developmental disabilities or mental health challenges, NDIS funding can be used to access our expert psychological services directly at school. This allows students to receive the support they need without disrupting their academic schedule.
-
Medicare (MHCP)
You don’t need a referral from a GP to access our services, but a referral can qualify you for a Medicare rebate. Many of our school-based services are covered under Medicare, making them more accessible and affordable for students. With a referral, students can receive professional psychological support seamlessly integrated into their school day, helping them manage their mental health while focusing on their education.
